Edward W. Hein, M.D.

Dr. Hein brings an exceptional level of medical and practical experience to our practice. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his Pediatric Residency and Post-Doctoral Fellowship in adult and pediatric Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Hein is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. His past publications and research focused on asthma, immunotherapy, food allergy, and atopic dermatitis.

Prior to establishing Berkshire Allergy and Asthma Center in Wyomissing, PA, Dr. Hein served as Head of Pediatric Allergy at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and Chief of Allergy at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Hein is an active member and Past President of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association. Dr. Hein enjoys model trains, furniture making, and gardening.
